gerald anderson: real hero

the good thing is he never talked about it. i think i saw gerald anderson on the buzz on sunday and he never mentioned this to any of the hosts. good job, guys!

I think Gerald only talked about it because Kris asked him about it, because the pictures were already circulating on the net.

Unlike some others crowing about how they helped a certain actress (cristine?) stranded on her rooftop in Provident village..

Richard could really use some chivalry lessons from Gerald..

mcky love a real hero, lol

Ruffa, at the HEIGHT of the typhoon tragedy... YOU were tweeting the 'OFFICIAL' story about your 'heroic' brother Richard's 'rescuing' this bikini loving entertainment tart off some rooftop.
You should be ashamed Ruffa. Can't you EVER shut it off woman? You are always thinking about your family's 'image' even during a crisis such as the floods which killed so many people. Your looks are fading fast RUFFA and you're brother has real issues to deal with so STOP tweeting such garbage! Stop feeding your insatiable appetite for the limelight Ruffa! This is just publicity.

Cristine Reyes, please get a life that includes NOT being naked and STOP talking about this RIDICULOUS story about being 'SAVED' by Richard Gutierrez. STOP MILKING this tragedy for your own FAME! People are being buried you stupid girl and all you three can do is get the 'official story out'... to further your own pathetic careers.

Gays seek party-list accreditation anew

By Mayen Jaymalin (The Philippine Star)
 September 25, 2009 12:00 AM

MANILA, Philippines - The gay rights group Ang Ladlad has come out of the closet once again to seek recognition as a legitimate party-list organization by the Commission on Elections (Comelec).

The group led by Danton Remoto filed a petition before the Comelec yesterday, urging the poll body to allow them to participate in the 2010 elections.

Remoto said their group represents gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgenders that account for 10 percent of the total 43.5 million registered voters nationwide.

The group sought anew to be recognized as a party-list organization, two years after the Comelec junked their petition for accreditation citing the failure to comply with the legal requirements of national membership.

Remoto this time argued that Ang Ladlad has sufficient membership to mount a national campaign.

He insisted their advocacy to promote gay rights is legitimate and thus they should be allowed to participate in next year’s elections.

Remoto said the reason why they formed Ang Ladlad in September 2003 is to reclaim the lost rights of gays and lesbians because of public discrimination against them.

Remoto is hoping to secure a seat in Congress and file a measure to seek equal opportunities for gays and lesbians.

Remoto is also pushing for the repeal of the Anti-Vagrancy Law, which he said is commonly used by unscrupulous policemen for extortion of gays.

A group claiming to represent workers in the showbiz and media industry also sought accreditation before the Comelec.

The Alyansang ng Media at Showbiz (AMS) said they would champion the welfare and rights of the workers from showbiz and media who have been neglected by the government.

AMS president Rolly Gonzalo said writers, editors, cameramen, photographers, production assistants, technical crew, and other employees of the broadcast and print media are included in their group.

Gonzalo said AMS would ensure that workers from the entertainment and media industry would get the proper benefits and privileges.

paying for men

Since I lost my job ( indefinite leave), I am ashamed to admit that I’ve started paying for the services of men to entertain me during the day while I’m at home alone. Sometimes it’s just for a quickie; other times it can last for hours, but they’re all great with their hands. You never quite know what you’re gonna end up with on your doorstep, what with all the negotiation done over the phone prior to their visit, and I’ve had a real range of guys turning up. Some like to get right down to it, others like to talk things through first, to find out exactly what is required. Some come with lots of accessories, while others prefer to keep things simple.
So far I’ve called out the  young gasman, two plumbers, an electrician, roofing guy, and a painter/decorator – what did you think I was talking about? Trouble is, being home more often without the stress of working does make you think about sex a lot and each workman that comes over seems to be hotter than the last, all young, tall, muscular and handsome – when did household trades become the fallback career to modeling? Or have I just been out of work too long?
When tradesmen are this attractive you do wonder how many ‘extras on the side’ are being given out to horny housewives. I always thought that was an urban myth or something that happens in trashy romance novels, but who knows. I’m sure in these ‘credit crunch’ times handymen have got to be more accommodating like most services.
I do wonder how easy it would be to get a little, personal servicing from one of these handy hunks. How would you go about it without risking complete embarrassment. It’s very easy to come up with an excuse to get a guy into your bedroom, but then what? I reckon you could try the direct approach with a back-out clause by simply asking, “you wanna fuck?,” under your breath. If the guy looks aghast, you clear your throat and pipe up, “I said, do you wanna coffee?”
I quite like the idea of saying to your sweaty guest, “I’m going to take a shower and I’ll leave the door unlocked in case you need anything…” Maybe I should write a trashy gay novel. I’d love to know if anyone has ever seduced a handyman and what line they used. - mcky88

(Same-sex hand holding) Sshh! Saturdays

Same-sex hand holding) Sshh! Saturdays

Last Saturday of every month

starting: Saturday 26th September 2009

This is the beginning of the end for homophobia. You are about to become a part of the biggest gay revolution since hot cave men and women started to dance around club FIRE.

*You can take part in this event *wherever* you are in the world. You can be gay or straight. This is an inclusive campaign*

A Day In Hand
announces the first ever international Same-sex hand holding (Sshh!) Saturday on September 26th 2009.  On this day, same-sex couples and friends all over the world are encouraged to hold hands in public to support the visibility of Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Trans (LGBT) people. Sshh! Saturdays will occur on the last Saturday of every month, publicised by A Day In Hand. This is a revolutionary way of encouraging and inspiring LGBT people to take responsibility for their equality and live their lives without fear or restraint. Sshh! Saturdays in major cities will eventually become regarded as an important time when numerous same-sex couples can feel confident in holding hands and be themselves.

This is silent revolution. Nothing needs to be said! Just hold hands. Same-sex hand holding! (Sshh!)

•   The world: your local area.

•   The first international Sshh! Saturday will be September 26th.

•   On Saturday September 26th we are asking people to find someone of the same gender, and hold their hand in public. It may be for only 1 min or for the whole day!  We would love people to have their photo taken holding hands and upload it to our website by sending to

•    The population (gay or straight, all faiths, genders, races, abilities, single or in a relationship). Celebrities Brian Paddick (below) and Boy George, author Paul Burston, MEP Michael Cashman, Mayor Boris Johnson and activists Peter Tatchell & Cleve Jones (Harvey Milk’s aide) have already endorsed the A Day In Hand campaign and many more will be holding hands on the first Sshh! Saturday.

You can be gay or straight, committed or single, just...

1) Find someone's hand of the same gender
2) Take them outside on Sat 26th September
3) Send your pictures to

Brian Paddick and his partner Peter Belsvik, hold hands for A Day In Hand

•    A Day In Hand founder, David Watkins says, Sshh! Saturdays aim to ultimately create safer spaces for LGBT people. As the idea of Sshh! Saturdays grow in popularity and spread across the world, the last Saturday of every month will become a day of support for LGBT people who want to show their commitment in public. Many years ago in the UK, LGBT people knew that the last carriage of every train would be populated by members of the queer community. Today, A Day In Hand wants people to feel the same sense of support in public spaces on the last Saturday of every month.”

•    Sshh! Saturdays are easily organised wherever you are. They are not prides or rallies. It only requires 2 people of the same sex to hold hands to make a Sshh! Saturday. The images sent to will be spread throughout the world via our website.Visibility of same-sex love is particularly important so that LGBT people become part of the cultural fabric of people’s lives.

•    Watkins adds “Same-sex hand holding (Sshh!) is a silent revolution for LGBT people, because nothing needs to be said: no bold speeches, no reactive arguments, no war of words. Each LGBT person has the power to change the hearts and minds of people in their local community quietly, subtly, by simply holding hands publicly and owning their space. However, hand holding is a simple powerful gesture that can happen anywhere, at any time.”

•    In areas of the world where it is impossible for LGBT to hold hands publicly, we call on people to send messages of support to our website on Sshh! Saturdays, and send in their photos of them holding hands, in public or private to

•    ‘Sshh! Saturday 26th Sept’ will be in memoriam of the recent Tel Aviv shootings at a Gay & Lesbian centre and the ongoing atrocities being committed to LGBT people in Iraq.

You expect me to hold hands in MY area?
We’re not asking people to ignore survival instincts that say “this is not safe, I shouldn’t be doing this”. We are asking people to think about public displays of affection in more creative, less obtrusive ways. If you can’t hold hands in your immediate area, how about resting your head on your partner’s shoulder at the cinema, or kissing them good-bye in the car? We have to start expressing our love in the mainstream. If you find it difficult to hold hands down your local street, find a location or area where you can hold hands comfortably, perhaps in the aisle of your supermarket or in your local park. Even for only a few minutes, the experience is liberating! So far the campaign has highlighted the positive reaction to same-sex hand holding in many major Western cities. See our recent relay walk through London.

What is A Day In Hand?
A Day in Hand heralds a revolutionary way of making the world a more liveable place: a revolution in which anybody, on any day, can be a part of. The campaign is designed to promote equality of respect for people who wish to hold hands with someone of the same gender in public. We launched on May 17th this year and are
now featured in over 20 countries worldwide. How? By holding hands we visibly challenge stereotypes and show we love and commit like everyone else. Anybody can take the day in hand. Events like these remind people that each individual has the power to change the cultural zeitgeist. Holding hands with your partner or your friend, where you can, is about being true to yourself and to those you love.

How can I get involved? – (see contact info below) + useful links:

meet william levy

William Levy is not one to choose what to wear. He did an underwear show wherein the underwear he wore left nothing to the imagination.
He posed nude for an underwear brand last year I think (I'm not gonna mention the name of the brand. No to FREE ADVERTISEMENTS. LOLZ!). As in his "Cuban sausage" was pretty much very visible, thanks to that skimpy and see-through underwear he was wearing. When I say it's see-through...IT'S REALLY SEE-THROUGH. I don't know why he did that. But...again...I don't care. I LOVE HIM ALREADY. (^_^) te amo - mcky88

Who is this gorgeous hottie with huge biceps and perfect abs that fires up your weekday viewing? He is William Levy (photo), male lead of ABS-CBN’s hit afternoon Mexicanovela Maria De Jesus.

William started out as a model before he ventured into acting in 2005. He first appeared on TV via Olvidarte Jamas, followed by three other series in less than two years.

The 29-year-old Cuban hunk was catapulted to stardom in 2008 when he got his first starring role as Juan Miguel in Televisa’s hit romantic series Cuidado con el Angel (currently airing on ABS-CBN as Maria De Jesus) that earned him acclaim and gave him his first acting award.

He also ventured into film and theater, thus making him one of the hottest Latin American actors to date.

He recently topped Quien magazine’s 12 Sexiest Men list and People en Espanol’s 50 Most Beautiful. Watch William as Juan Miguel in Maria De Jesus, airing weekdays after Kambal sa Uma.

Strengthen your abdominal muscles and lose body fat. The concept is simple, but putting it into action is not simple at all. It will take dedication, willpower, patience and time to get a six pack but in the end, the effort is well worth it. You can have the most toned and defined abs but they won't show through if there's a layer of fat over them.

Do Crunches. Lie on the floor (with or without a mat) and cross your arms in front of your chest. Bend your knees up as far as they go. Do not place both hands behind your head. Placing both hands behind your head can cause lower back problems in the long run as it places unnecessary stress on that part of your body from pulling on your head and neck. Another alternative is to cross your arms in front of your chest and lightly place your finger tips behind your ears, without pulling on your neck. Now raise your shoulders (upper torso) towards your knees, using strictly your abdominal muscles. It is very important not to lift your entire back off the floor, as this can cause back strain, and the extended movement does not help you develop six pack abs any faster. The most important part of the crunch is the initial flexing of your abs as you lift your shoulders off of the floor. As soon as you begin lifting off the floor exhale through your mouth, ending with a gasp once your shoulders are off the floor. Then pause for a second once you are at the top of the crunch and exhale the last bit of air from your diaphragm while flexing your abs. The proper breathing and flexing make all the difference. Now lower back down slowly and controlled while inhaling through your nose, just until your shoulder blades touch the ground. Do not let your head touch the ground and repeat.
Do Sit Ups. Lie on the floor, feet on the floor, knees up and fingers placed behind your ears or hands crossed on your chest. Sit all the way up, lifting your lower back off the floor along with your shoulder blades.Lower yourself down. Repeat. Once this becomes relatively easy for you (i.e. you can do a quite a bit with ease) start adding more challenges. Find an incline bench or do these with an exercise ball. Once you "graduate" from that, do weighted sit ups. Hold a weight on your chest while you do these. As these become easier, hold heavier and heavier weights.
3. Do leg lifts. Lift your feet off the ground while doing the sit ups by alternating each leg in the air. Bicycling, pretending to pedal while sitting up. Alternating knee touches. If your hands are behind your head, bring your left knee up to touch your right elbow and then your right knee to the left elbow.
Do Leg Lifts. Lie on the floor, legs straight out, hands at your sides. Lift your legs straight up (not bending your knees at all) until they're at a 90 degree angle (or close). Lower your legs and repeat without letting your legs touch the floor. For more challenge there is equipment at most gyms that will allow you to raise yourself up using your arms as support and dangle your legs. You can perform leg lifts there too. If you're using this piece of equipment, you can make it easier by just raising your knees to your chest. It's more difficult to raise your legs to a horizontal position with your legs straight. This helps firm up the lower abdomen. If you're truly a monster, try doing leg lifts with a medicine ball hanging from your feet. Or hang from a pull up bar and raise your legs in front of you all the way up to the bar.
Do Jackknife Sit Ups. Lie down flat on the floor. Place your hands on the ground to your sides for balance; you can pick them up as you get used to the movement. Simultaneously raise your knees and torso so that your knees and face meet on an imaginary line extending from your pelvis to the ceiling. You should be able to kiss your knees at the top of the motion. Your legs will naturally fold bringing your feet towards your hips, much like a jackknife. Lie back down (i.e. "spread out") and repeat. Place a weight between your feet when you think you can handle it.
6. Do V-ups. Lie on the floor, legs straight out, hands on the floor but this time extended out over your head. Simultaneously raise legs and torso. Don't bend your knees! What kind of V would it be if you bend your knees? Reach with your hands toward the raised feet. Touch your feet if possible (will require some flexibility). Relax, return to starting position and repeat. Add weight between feet to match your taste.
Static Hold and Side Statics. Put your body into the push-up position but with your elbows on the floor, and your whole body flat. This position is known as the static hold position and it trains your core (including your abs) to hold the body in place which is the real purpose of your abs. Hold this position for as long as possible. Beginners should be aiming to start off with at least 45 seconds, while seasoned ab workers are known to achieve over 5 minute static holds. To perform the side static hold, roll onto one side of your body and lift into the same position as before, but this time only one arm will be on the ground with the other arm pointed straight up the air and your non weight bearing leg resting on your bottom leg. Once again, hold this for as long as possible.
Train Your Oblique Muscles. It's not as important to work on your oblique muscles at first, but eventually you'll want to start working these too. These are the muscles to either side of your stomach. There are multiple ways to do this and anything that includes twisting your torso against a resistance counts. There are twisting machines at gyms, you can twist while you do sit-ups, you can do side bends, you can twist side to side with a medicine ball in hand, etc. Be aware though, that many beginners tend to have weak obliques compared to their abs (it simply isn't used as much in daily life) so go easy on the sides at first.
9. Now that you've made up your mind about a washboard mid-section, be Creative! Find new ways to crunch, bend and twist in your daily life. Some possibilities include:
Use a stability ball. Do your crunches on the ball to introduce instability to your workout, which will improve your balance too. There are also lots of core exercises that can be done with a stability ball. You can also use a small bubble used for physical therapy.
* Duck and twist during your daily routine. Reach with your left hand to things on your right and vice versa. If you feel like turning around to face something, see if you can do it with keeping your hips in place and twisting at the waist (warning: awkward when talking to other people, use only against inanimate objects). While walking or standing, pretend that something is coming toward you and you have to duck to get out of the way. Do this as often as you are comfortable or at times when it won't look weird. You can bend forward from the hips or, if you're really into it, bend at the knees too and really "sink" out of the way. Caution: If you have lower back problems, you could injure yourself.
* Incorporate Sprints into your regular workout routine. Any higher-impact running works the abs, but intense sprinting derives power specifically from the lower abs.
10. Do the Scientific Best Abs Exercise Researchers at the San Diego State University, found that there are certain abs exercises that triggers most muscular activity. The winner was the "bicycle maneuver":
* Lie on the floor; make sure your lower back is pressed on the ground.
* Take your hands behind your ears. Then bring up your knees at a 45 degree angle.
* Start doing a bicycle pedaling motion. Touch your elbow with the opposite knee (right elbow with left knee and so on, alternating)
* Breathe in a relaxed and even manner throughout the exercise.

Lift Weights. The more muscle your body has, the more calories your body burns, even at rest. Many people are afraid of getting huge due to weight lifting but the fact is you won't! Many huge body-builders out there have been body-building for years to get huge. Since you want your abs to show, you should be eating fewer calories than you burn, and your body can't build a large amount of muscle without excess calories, so you shouldn't have to worry about this potential problem at all. If you just do cardiovascular exercises (running, playing basketball, football, etc.) without lifting weights then you will lose the muscle mass, you will also feel weak and it will take longer to lose that fat. So, to get rid of that fat quickly lift weights combined with cardiovascular exercises. Running, biking, swimming, stair climbing, jumping rope, tennis, volleyball, dancing, squash or any other activity that gets you moving and keeps you moving is a great way to burn fat. However, a cardiovascular workout should be performed for at least 20 to 30 minutes to burn fat. Prior to this your body will simply run on its stored energy, which results in minimal fat loss. Cardiovascular training should always be done after your weight lifting workout. While lifting weights, you use stored, (carbohydrate) energy, thus, by performing cardiovascular exercises after weight training your body will have less stored energy to use and go straight into the fat storage for its energy use. Some think the best way to shed fat fast is to do cardiovascular exercises right when you wake up. The theory is that your body will search for energy to use, and when it finds nothing in your stomach, it will go directly to your fat reserves for energy. Others say that the first thing you should do in the morning is eat, to get your metabolism going earlier.
2. Keep Metabolism Steady. Eating one small meal every three hours that you are awake will not speed up your metabolism, rather, it will keep it going. Your metabolism goes and slows with your food intake and eating something small every three hours will keep that metabolism burning calories and will help you lose weight. Every meal should include lean protein, so that your body won't need to break down your muscles for fuel, which would shrink your abs as well as slow down your metabolism.
3. Eat Smaller Dinners. Cut down on the size of your dinner. If you're hungry, snack on fruits or other healthy, low calorie snacks. Large dinners tend to hurt a fat loss process because most people aren't very active after dinner. This is the basis for advice along the lines of "don't eat anything within N hours before going to bed". The claim that your entire dinner is stored as fat isn't entirely true (the process is more complicated than that) but the fact you don't move after dinner is enough to hurt your cause. You can offset this by eating a larger lunch or snacking healthily before dinner. Fresh fruits or vegetables are excellent choices for curbing appetite not to mention other health benefits. A handful of nuts might do the same. Drink a large glass of water before sitting at the table.
4. Eat More Fiber. Most people don't get enough fiber. The recommended amount is actually not that much if you eat a healthy diet. "Fiber foods" include whole grains, fruits and vegetables, and nuts and seeds. Other options are fiber supplements.
5. Eat Breakfast. Many people skip breakfast because they don't have time for it. Keep this in mind: You don't have time to skip breakfast, it's simply too valuable to skip. The fact that skipping breakfast messes up your concentration and other mental functions is beyond the scope of this article. The harm of skipping breakfast from a weight loss perspective is it makes you eat a huge lunch since your body hasn't had anything in the past 12 (or more) hours. When you eat a huge lunch you get that after meal drowsiness so now you're both unproductive and inactive. Cereals don't take much time to prepare and consume, and most of them are very healthy nowadays. If you are extremely pressed for time, consider grabbing a box of breakfast bars or a smoothie and throwing one in your bag when you leave for work or school. Some breakfast bars out there are also excellent sources of fiber.
Drink More Water Every Day. Many places suggest 8 cups (2L) of water a day. It also depends on your weight (1L/20kg would be good, more if it's hot or you're ill). It sounds like an absurd amount of water, but actually, you can drink tea without sugar to make up some of the quota. In fact tea, especially green tea, will rev up your "metabolism" (actually cause a temporary increase in calories burned).
For fat loss purposes, it is important to remind yourself that thirst is a much weaker stimulus than hunger. If you consistently feel hungry after meals, don't immediately think that you need to eat more. You may simply be thirsty!
Needless to say there are many benefits of water. The human body is anywhere from 55% to 78% water depending on body size.
7. Avoid "white" foods (white rice, white flour, refined sugar) - these are all starchy foods which are metabolized readily into fat.
8. Don't drink milk or eat food immediately before exercise. After eating large quantities of food, do not immediately start doing sit ups, as this may cause you to become sick.

EJ FALCON: centerfold sexy

“Proud ako dahil masasabi ko na sexy din ako kahit papaano,” he says of being a Cosmo Centerfold.

From the time he appeared at the launch of ABS-CBN’s Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition Plus in nothing but a Tarzan-inspired loincloth, Ejay Falcon already had “hot hunk” written all over him. After his PBB victory, the Filipino-French teen star soon went the sexy route, playing a bratty bad boy who gets a girl pregnant in the sensual soap Katorse, opposite Erich Gonzales. That was when Cosmo noticed this guy could make a yummy Centerfold. And what a steamy CosmoMen debut he made, as you could see here.

While Ejay exudes too much sex appeal it’s almost tangible, Cosmo found that the Mindoro native remained a humble young man amidst the fame and fortune he has been thrust into, as this exclusive interview would reveal.

You’re only 19, yet you’re already a Cosmo Centerfold. You also tackle a mature subject in your soap, Katorse. Is this an indication that you’re ready for a sexier image?

Oo naman. Dapat nga matuwa pa ako e kasi nilagay nila ako dun. Ibig sabihin may potential siguro ako. Ako naman, kung saan naman ako ilagay, papayag ako.

You play a wayward youth (Gabby) in Katorse. How similar or different are you from your role?

Sobrang ibang-iba sa personality ko ‘yung role ni Gabby e kaya medyo nahirapan talaga ako. Pero ngayon naman nagagawa ko rin naman.

You were the big winner in PBB Teen Edition Plus. How did it feel to win so much money at such a young age?

Masarap. Masaya ako kasi nung nanalo ako nakatulong ako sa mga mahal ko sa buhay. [‘Yung] mga kapatid ko napag-aral ko na, [‘yung] parents ko natulungan ko rin. Masarap talaga ‘pag nakakatulong kaya masaya talaga ako noon.

How different was your life in Mindoro from your life in Manila?

How did your experience in PBB help you in your career later on?

Maraming challenges, mga tasks ni Big Brother na nalusutan namin [dati at] ngayon nagagawa ko pa ring lusutan kahit nasa labas na kami ng Big Brother [house] (laughs).

9 things to do on 9.9.9.

I hope you like the number 9, because this Wednesday you'll be seeing it everywhere! For the only time this century, the calendar will read 9/9/09, and for a couple of moments on that day the clock will read 9:09. I know most of us will be at work or school, but for others it will be a day to remember.

Here's my list of 9 things you can do to celebrate the 9th day of the 9th month of the 9th year in the 2000s.

1) Get married. In general, Wednesdays are an unlikely day for people to get married, but we're sure the local marriage-license bureaus will get some extra foot-traffic for wannabe brides and grooms. Last year, for 8-8-08, 16,000 couples were married in Beijing, in part because 8 is a good number in Chinese cultural beliefs.

2) Have a baby. While it's too late to get caught up if you didn't plan for this 9 months ago, don't be surprised to hear of stories of moms-to-be waiting and watching the clock, in hopes of delivering their babies at 9:09 on 9/9/09. Last year, a Minnesota mom delivered a baby at 8:08 on 8/8/08 - the baby's weight: 8 lbs. 8 oz

3) Snap a photo of yourself. Where will you be at 9:09 on 9/9/09? Wherever you are, take a picture of yourself and post it online.

4) Rock The Beatles. On 9/9/09, a whole new set of remastered Beatles' recordings will be put on sale. Some say this collection represents the truest reproduction of Beatles music ever made - like being in their studio as they were recording. You can also get your first crack at Beatles stardom by buying the new Beatles version of the video-interactive game Rock Band.

5) Rock with Apple. All sorts of rumors floating around Silicon Valley, looking for a big product announcement out of Apple headquarters on 9/9/09. All Apple will say is that the event is called "It's Only Rock and Roll". Some are speculating that the Apple Corps music catalog (The Beatles label) will finally come to Apple (computer) iTunes. Others are hoping that Apple will release a new tablet computer, which functions like an iPhone, but is closer to the size of a sheet of paper.

6) Watch a movie. How about this new release, the movie "9" hits the screens on 9/9/09. This is an animated post-apocalytpic story by acclaimed director Tim Burton.

7) Study up on the health-care debate. President Obama will deliver a speech on health care to a joint session of Congress. He'll be laying out specifics of his plan to reform our nation's health system. Since the speech will be televised in prime-time, you have all day to study and come up with your own plan.

8) Study up on your 9 numerology. Did you know the number "9" is a number of completion and finality, as well as sympathy, love, selfless sacrifice and morality? Neither did we. But the numerologists among us are working to shine some light on the power of "9"

9) Book a vacation! Several hotels are offering special deals for 9/9/9 and beyond. Here's a Google search with some options. Truth is, September in general is a slow time for the travel industry, so you're likely to find lower rates and negotiable terms on many of your favorite places.
